What’s involved

I offer a safe environment to explore the feelings and emotions that you have found difficult to cope with, which led you to think of alcohol as a temporary solution to them and which are stopping you now from moving forward.
By tapping, I will help you safely process those emotions and thoughts. By doing that, you will gain a new perspective around alcohol and develop healthier ways to live a life without being dependent on anything outside of your own self.

All the sessions are online. EFT works as well remotely as in person, and you will be in your home.

We will continuously tap together during all the sessions, mirroring each other. In this way, you will learn how to tap on yourself, and I will also encourage you to tap in between sessions to make our work together more effective.

Testimonials

I feel blessed and grateful that I had the chance to work with you. I learned a lot! And I got to that place of peace with alcohol. I feel solid enough to do that right now without falling back into previous habits. The sessions with you have allowed me to gain some awareness, and I continue to gain more as time passes. Without your guidance, I would not be where I am today. I appreciate your kindness for making me feel like you care and I matter.

I am so thankful to have found Ilaria because I have been concerned about my drinking habits for many years and was starting to feel the detrimental effects on my physical and mental health. I loved Ilaria’s structured approach, which made me take a serious look at my relationship with alcohol without feeling judged in any way. For the first time in my life, I felt empowered and motivated to make a start, and throughout the regular Skype sessions, her compassion and continuing support made it so much easier for me to stay focused on my goals. My energy levels and sleep patterns have improved, and I feel far happier than I have in many years. Thank you once again.

Before going to Ilaria, I had so much fear about what a life without alcohol could look like, and even though I knew that I had to stop drinking, I wasn’t happy about it, to put it mildly. The sessions I had with her changed that for me. She allowed me to be me and tap through all my worries, fears, triggers, and so many memories that I had that I didn’t even know had such a significant impact on my life. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it had not been for my sessions with her. And now, I know how to use tapping correctly on myself, which is a big bonus.

I approach the work we do together as a collaborative partnership.
My work is client-led. You are in the driving seat and will decide where you want to go. I will be beside you to facilitate the change you will initiate.
I will gently challenge you for you to make progress towards your desired outcome.

How else might your benefit?

We understand many turn to alcohol to cope with emotions. EFT effectively addresses stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, and more. Together, we can tackle these issues, whether linked to alcohol or not.

My aim isn’t to push you to quit drinking but to validate your feelings and thoughts on the matter.

If you’re ready to quit, we’ll set a sobriety date and navigate challenges as they arise.

For those seeking moderation, we’ll work toward that goal after a sober period, maximizing your chances of success with a jointly crafted plan.

We may not be a good fit if

Expect talking therapy – talking is a part of our sessions. Still, it’s not the main one, as the best results come from doing the tapping whilst we focus and talk about the issue, the feelings, the thoughts and the emotions connected to it.

You want a quick fix – it might take very few sessions, but sometimes it might take a few months, especially if there is trauma involved; what I can promise you is that I will do my very best to get you there as safely and as quickly as possible.

Too many things are happening in your life, and you don’t have the time and money to invest in yourself right now. And that’s okay.
